Data Sheet

Quasonix’ Multi-Mode Airborne RDMS™ Telemetry Receiver features an extremely-sensitive RF downconverter integrated with the company's market-leading ARTM demodulator and bit synchronization in a compact 12 cubic inch flight-ready package. When compared to the competition, RDMS offers a remarkable 6 to 8 dB sensitivity advantage. What you choose to do with the extra link margin is up to you.

Airborne RDMS Highlights

  • Complete Receiver - RF to Bits
    • A single-box solution that accepts RF signals, and delivers baseband clock and data. No external add-ons required.
  • Flight-ready airborne package
    • Compact 12 in.³ (4.00" x 3.00" x 1.00") enclosure
  • True Trellis Demodulation in all ARTM Modes
    • Provides true trellis detection in all three ARTM modes for optimal demodulation.
  • Lower L, Upper L, S or tri band
    • New tri-band receiver now available
  • Lowest noise figure
    • 3.5 dB noise figure bests all other ARTM receivers on the market, hands down.

Airborne RDMS Optional Features

  • Double-speed SOQPSK-TG to 46 Mbps
  • 37-pin connector adds 2 additional sets of clock and data, 2 high-speed analog outputs, 1 low-speed analog output
  • RS-422 differential clock & data outputs
  • Finned heat sink cover

Rack-Mount RDMS™

Rack-Mount RDMS Receiver

Take a 3-D Tour of the RM RDMS

At its core, the brand-new Rack-Mount RDMS™ Telemetry Receiver is an airborne RDMS repackaged, but that would not be doing this elegant machine justice. Featuring four high-quality color displays for configuration, control, and constellation / eye pattern monitoring, a full numeric keypad, dedicated function keys, a custom aluminum chassis, and an Ethernet-based remote client interface that simplifies operation - rather than muddy it - and it becomes apparent that this is no ordinary telemetry receiver.

Consider that most rack-mount telemetry receivers occupy 4U of rack space (or more), and weigh close to the equivalent of a boat anchor. In contrast, Quasonix' Rack-Mount RDMS weighs less than 10 pounds (in a dual-channel), occupies just 1U of rack space, and offers up to four channels of lower L, upper L, or S-band operation. It also offers an optional pre-detection diversity combiner, which is entirely digitally-implemented for superior signal fidelity. You can almost see the bit errors retreating in its wake.

Is this the new benchmark? We'll let you decide.

Rack-Mount RDMS Highlights

  • Versatile Rack-mount Enclosure
    • Custom 1U rack-mount chassis houses 1, 2, or as many as 4 complete receivers covering lower L, upper L, full S – or all three bands per channel.
  • True Trellis Demodulation in all ARTM Modes
    • Provides true trellis detection in all three ARTM modes for optimal demodulation.
  • Optional diversity combiner
    • Pre-detection diversity combiner offered with dual- and quad-channel configurations
  • 6 to 8 dB Sensitivity Advantage
    • A 3.5 dB noise figure coupled with superior multi-symbol trellis demodulation
